The Liffey is the beating heart of our city, and can offer you all the free space you need to explore, exercise and have fun!
Covid Info- We disinfect our buoyancy aids and paddles throughout the day, to keep you safe, and have hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities onsite. We adhere to the government guidelines on number of people allowed out together so please follow the directions of our staff, maintaining social distances at all times.
Do not enter our site if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with an infected person.
Once you arrive on site you will be given a life jacket and issued with your paddle and kayak. Rest assured we will be working tirelessly to implement all recommended Covid precautions. We will help you get started and then you are free to explore at your own pace, under the watchful eye of our safety boat operators.
We meet at our base on Custom House Quay and use the same entrance as the Jeanie Johnston Tall ship. There is parking nearby in the IFSC park rite, and we are just across from the CHQ Builiding

What to wear?
Kayaking on the Liffey is great fun, it’s safe and accessible but don’t forget that you’ll actually be on the water! For this very simple reason we recommend that you’ll come to our sessions wearing clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet, (shorts or leggings are ideal in the summer, fleece and warmer trousers in the winter) something to get changed into and a towel. Due to COVID-19 we are not currently able to offer a changing facility on site and nor can we store your valuables. We will provide a buoyancy aid to keep you safe and warm!
We will provide you with a kayak, a paddle and a life jacket. We use Sit On Top kayaks that are extremely stable, making them safe and easy to use.
The water will be patrolled by our safety boat the entire time that you are out. The safety boats will be driven by our fully trained and very experienced, knowledgable guides.
We do not currently offer bag storage or changing facilities on site in line with Covid guidelines.
There are no toilet facilities available on site.
Please do not arrive until your booking time to avoid any congestion on site and help us comply with social distancing measures.
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance of booking time. With 48 hours notice, we can reschedule.
